Because I spent eleven years earning what amounts to a useless degree (and racking up enormous student loans in the process) I have been unable to find a job. So, as you know, I have applied to graduate school at USF (still no word on whether I have been accepted or not). My part time job at New York & Company is not enough to pay the bills, however, so I have returned to Outback Steakhouse. Yes, I am still just an waitress. And who knows, maybe that's all I'll ever be. But it really isn't that bad. It can be stressful and I really hate coming home smelling like food, but it's also a good way to earn money and I get to meet a lot of new and interesting people. I really like the people I work with at the Outback in Plant City, too. Everyone there is really great and I really like the propritor, Jamie. Outback has a tendency to attract some sleazy propritors, but Jamie is not one of them. So I figure that I can wait tables through graduate school (as long as my feet hold out) and then, maybe, I can find a better job - something I'd be willing to make a career out of. We'll see.
